Programme Objectives (POs)

The programme objectives (POs) of the Master of Chemistry Education (MCE) are to graduate students who are in demand by employers and who lead fulfilling professional careers through their abilities to : 

  1. Demonstrate professional practical skills (pedagogical, personal, social, and professional competencies) required for success in learning.
  2. Demonstrate mastery of general chemistry theory, principles, and practice.
  3. Understand the field of chemistry education in terms of terminology from theory and practice, research, curriculum design, and teaching and learning.
  4. Conduct research, development, and practice of chemistry teaching techniques and methods, so that chemistry learning becomes easy and enjoyable.
  5. Analyze educational management policies, curriculum, evaluation, and teaching technology related to chemistry learning.
  6. Apply knowledge gained from research and discovery in the learning process for instructional and curriculum development.
  7. Exhibit leadership roles in general chemistry education, including specific leadership in teaching, research, curriculum, and instruction
