Laboratory
Primary tabs
The Department of Chemistry Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta has a variety of laboratory facilities designed to meet educational and research needs in various fields of chemistry. In total, the department offers seven laboratories, each with a distinct focus and specialization. The first laboratory is the Basic Chemistry Laboratory, which is used to introduce and teach fundamental concepts in chemistry to new students. The Organic and Biochemistry Laboratory is a center for research and practical work in organic chemistry and biochemistry, allowing students to explore reactions and mechanisms in organic and biological molecules. Furthermore, the Analytical Chemistry Laboratory focuses on teaching and research in chemical analysis techniques, providing students with the skills to analyze a wide range of chemical samples with high precision. The Physical and Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory also provides an in-depth study of physical chemistry, encompassing energy, thermodynamics, and kinetics, as well as inorganic chemistry involving elements and non-organic compounds. Equally important, the Computer Laboratory is dedicated to supporting technology-based learning and data processing, which are essential components of modern research. For more in-depth research activities, the Chemistry Department also provides a Research Laboratory, where students and faculty can conduct more complex and innovative experiments. In addition, the Instrumental Laboratory offers a variety of advanced tools and equipment for instrumentation analysis, a pillar of modern chemical research. Finally, there is the Integrated Science Laboratory, which serves as a hub for interdisciplinary collaboration, supporting research that combines various areas of chemistry to produce more comprehensive innovations.
